I don’t think that they are a problem, but I do avoid them when I am doing certain work. In some of my more recent work I’ve been concentrating on the lighting and the figure in the landscape, and I find that sometimes they can be distracting. I like to consider how a viewer would read the work with and without a tattooed or modified person, and models that suit the project.
